Description
This is the best all-around Comet dual-band base station style antenna combining gain and coverage area at reasonable cost for roof top installations.
The GP-6 antenna may be your best antenna choice if you need to cover areas around your installation that are a few thousand feet above (or below) the antenna elevation due to the wider radiation angle of this antenna.
If maximum gain along the horizon in needed, the GP-9 may be a better choice, since the radiation pattern is directed to the horizon omni-directionally around the antenna. Keep in mind that a high-gain antenna like the GP-9 has narrow elevation angle above the horizon, so signals will have a difficult time reaching into valley floors or up onto ridge lines or mountain tops that are higher than the antenna installation. For those type of installations, the GP-6 would be the better antenna choice.
